Intense fighting is now ongoing in the Syrian city of Daraa, the provincial capital of the Daraa province.
In the morning on February 12, members of the so-called “moderate opposition” and their al-Qaeda linked firends launched an assault on the Manshiyah neighbourhood of Daraa which was under the control of the Syrian army.
According to reports members of the Free Syrian Army’s Southern Front and Jabhat Fatah al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) were the main striking force of the “opposition” in this attack.
The declared goal of the assault is to retake the whole city from pro-government forces. Pro-militant sources argue that “opposition forces” are pushed to respond to “numerous violations of the ceasefire” by the army and its allies.
Since morning, clashes have been ongoing in the southern part of the Manshiyah neighbourhood. Sides use small arms, mortars and artillrey.
There are no confirmed reports about casualties among the opposing sides.[/size]

da, turci su objavili da su zauzelikruzni tok al lazu, sve da bi presjekli tigrovo napredovanje, medjutim sam tigar je rekao da ce ici kroz njih, il ce se maknut il ce biti maknuti, rusi jesu dogovorili linijurazgranicenja s turcima ali ona ne obugvaca ove isturene dijelove, po tomu oni se moraju povuci van grada kad ciscenje bude gotovoEroo wrote:Prema ruskom MO Asadovi su preuzeli predgrađe Tadif. Militants attacked government positions in the Manshiyah neighbourhood earlier today, but suffered heavy casualties and were pushed to retreat. Pro-government sources report that up to 40 members of Jabhat Fatah al-Sham and the FSA’s Southern Front were killed in clashes.
This was the biggest escalation in the area in the recent months. The militants had used suicide vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices during their assault. This clearly indicated the level of “moderation” of the “opposition groups” involved in the operation.

On February 12, the Syrian army and the National Defense Forces (NDF), supported by the Russian Aerospace Forces, made fresh gains in a battle against ISIS terrorists nourtheast of the Kweires Airbase in the Syrian province of Aleppo.
The villages of Mansourah and Khirbat Jahish were liberated by the army and the NDF after a swift advance according to pro-government sources. Following these gains, government troops continued to develop momentum in the area.
Earlier this week reports appeared that the Syrian army and the NDF would not enter the ISIS-stronghold of al-Bab after liberating the town of Tadif south of al-Bab. So, government forces will likely focus on clearing other parts of the eastern Aleppo countryside from terrorists.

The goal of the advance is to expand a buffer zone along roads heading to al-Bab. Strategically this could be aimed on flanking Deir Hafer from the north.
Meanwhile, Turkey’s President Recep Erdogan anounced that the Tuurkish Armed Forcec will continue operation in Syria until the liberation of the ISIS self-proclaimed capital of Raqqah. Erdogan also confirmed that the Turkish army directly participates in clashes against ISIS in al-Bab along with the so-called “Free Syrian Army”.
In al-Bab, the Turkish army and the FSA seized the northern and southern entrances into the town.
The town Qabasin remains under the ISIS control. The village of Bzaah is contested.

Asadovi bi morali ići na Al Bab, bez obzira što o tome Turci misle.
Turci su ovdje isključivo zbog stvaranja nereda na terenu.

citam da su rusi opleli po turcima ono nekidan jer su pucalu prema saa, oko al baba ce biti jos tarapane iako sirijskj vojsci al bab nije primarni cilj nego spajanje s kurdima da se sprijeci turke da idu dalje, naime turci su vec pripremili plan da krenu prema al raqi iz dva pravca, odozgo kroz kurde i od al baba, ako ih saa blokira onda im ostaje kroz kurde s cim bi dosli u sukob sa amerima koji podrzavaju kurde, dobro odigrano, veli damir da je sad sledeci korak odsjecanje idliba i da to kozojebi jako dobro znaju te su poceli napade u latakiji da si prosire koridor, za ocekivati je da ce sad ici ofenzive u tri pravca, spajanje s kurdima i ciscenje prema raqi, zatvaranje idliba i prodor preko palmire prema deir zouru te spajanje s kurdima povise deir zoura
