This is way deeper than that. Entropy and peak oil is the reason in the physical world. Also a system with to many individuals producing nothing of tangible worth, i.e. food, transportation , housing and at the same time consuming an inordinate amount of resources juxtaposed to their contribution the system. Think of Wall Street, Hollywood, lawyers and "content creators" as examples. Individuals making large sums of what people imagine to be money, and the consequent consumption associated with that imagined wealth.... yet they do not physically work to contribute to the effort of feeding, clothing, or housing the population. Advancement in technologies had made this possible, and the exploitation of oil as a primary source of energy likewise. This is not the case anymore. The next time you hear the term useless eaters coming out of a bankers mouth, you can be sure that this is the definition of projection being displayed at it's finest.

There's no possible turnaround. Even for those who want to pursue "the old days", the average guy can't support a stay at home wife with a couple of kids anymore. Whether they like it or not, a lot of women will now be condemned to grinding decades away in jobs they either secretly or openly hate. Welcome to life as a man, except we need a lot less money to get by alone.

Not entirely true. A large portion of our "cost of living" didn't even exist 100 years ago. Ignore the actual prices, and look at the line items. It's entirely possible (not desirable) to live without personal technology toys and conveniences. Small homes are extremely hard to find these days, but are still affordable when available since nobody wants them. Nobody WANTS to do without, which makes it very hard to go back. Very hard, not impossible.

I can be broke and live like a caveman without slaving away for Mr Shekelstein all my life. The fact of the matter is, society needs men to participate and pay for all those things, more than men need society to provide it for them.

Ne slažem se. Ljudsko društvo upropaštavaju feminizirani muškarci koji loše odrađuju posao pa žene moraju preuzimati pozicije van ognjišta i kreveta, a koje im nisu prirodne...

I know more divorcees than not. Starting over financially (each time) kicked these men to the bottom rung of the economic ladder. I can fully understand the rise of OnlyFans and the decline of night clubs full of men. Divorce lawyers have so much money earned from men who fell in the trap. The trap is easy to find if you 're willing to open your eyes..... women want a weddings, (plural )not marriage. Each wedding allows them to be the centerpiece princess for the day with a vacation attached.

Every single one of my friends from the past who told me garbage like "you're gonna regret staying single" has now gone through divorce and lost half his shit. They're working overtime to pay child support. I'm on pace to retire early.

Cost of living is too high, work demands are too high, wages are for the cost of living too low. That's not the problem of China alone, that's the problem of the whole world.

Here’s the answer: the same generation that complains about ours being weak is the same generation of parents that wouldn’t let us venture out into the world like they did as a kid. They feel the world is too dangerous for us to handle, and then we grow up and they wonder why

I'm GenX and in the beginning when he was talking about GenZ being told they can do anything etc. I can only speak for myself and close friends...our parents never told us that. Many of our dads were a lot like Red on That 70s Show. We had to earn our parents praise and even then it was skeptical praise.
